Cameroon doesn’t even have politics, we have only had TWO presidents since independence and one of them has been president since my parents were born!! It’s 20th May and I don’t even have the will to post anything to celebrate because there is nothing to celebrate. We are not independent. We still belong to France, the president doesn’t even live here and my people are living in hell. I’m from southern cameroon and while I don’t support us fully separating, I do think we are marginalized and need more help and recognition from our so called government. There is no reason why some villages have no idea indoor plumbing exists in 2021 while our government officials and their children vacation in Sweden, the U.S, etc. They don’t even care and we as a people feel powerless. In the south they don’t even know who to fight anymore, they’re just killing themselves thinking someone will step in but in reality the government doesnt even care. I’m tired man.
