Does anyone ave advice on how to deal with a younger brother who is the favorite? My little brother is an 11 year old boy I am a 16 year old girl, He has always been my dads favorite, but my mom always said “I don’t have a favorite.” I knew this was BS and I said so multiple times but she denied it. Today while i was in the washroom my brother came and turned the lights off for no reason, I stayed calm and asked him to turn them on, surprise, he didn’t. When i went upstairs I saw him fooling around in the washroom, I thought why not? And I turned out the lights on him too. He started screaming and wailing like a four year old, My mom was screaming too. My brother ran out of the bathroom and started hitting me in the stomach and my head, he then kicked me to the ground and continued to kick me in the stomach(my mom did nothing)and I finally kicked him in the stomach(not nearly as hard as he was kicking me) and he started to cry and my mom came running to comfort him. When I went to say sorry for kicking him he told me to F off And shut up, my mom dismissed his actions by saying “He got scared.” I snapped and said he needs to grow up (fyi he still sleeps in my moms bed, weird ikr) My mom once again told me to shut up and clean the house(Kitchen, living room, tv room, her laundry, my brothers etc, I do it all). When i was younger I was on a medication and it made me really angry to the point of violence, but I came off it and went to therapy and I am still in therapy but my brother isn’t and clearly needs to be. His only hobby is to make fun of me every chance he gets, I’m struggling with my depression he goes and tells my friends I tried to slit my wrists, I end up in the psych ward he laughed when he saw me after and said “I thought you died haha.” Please, please help, I don’t know what to do. My Moms parents are aware and fully support me but I need advice.
