I feel that as black men, societal expectations are too low and so it’s as if we are expected to fail. Some choose to be resilient and circumvent those obstacles while others are content with having that excuse. As men we need to uplift not only each other but the bar in a healthy way to establish a sense of identity outside of the one ascribed to us
