“L’union fait la Force” (“Unity Makes Strength”)

Haitian people are one of the most strongest and most resilient groups of people. With “UNITY” we ‘can’ and ‘have’ gotten through some of the most toughest and tragic times, resulting with us coming out with more power and resilience. As we continue to go through tough times, I am a strong believer that “tough times don’t last forever”.
Haiti is facing one of the worst outbreaks of violence since 1986, because of a Political crisis. The government of Haiti has failed to meet the needs of the people, such as not resolving long-standing human rights, and failure to address humanitarian crises.
The violence in Haiti has resulted in about 900 intentional homicides, 120 abductions, and about 80 sexual violence incidents. The way the situation is being handled is not ideal at all, because violence is never the answer. There is no current solution to this problem, but with prayer for a change of heart/thinking of the population, and hopefully some help from the States to put some order in the country, there can be a stop to this violence.
Overall, I strongly believe that the violence will eventually stop, and Haiti will one day become a great country and the total opposite of what it is now.
