Most Africans I know use faith to ignore their children’s mental health state, only if it’s negative though. Cannot tell you how many times my mom has told me just to pray and I have nothing to be depressed for, she should be the one that’s depressed. Sometimes I just need someone to talk to, not to attempt to pray away my problems.
