Hey, I’m looking forward to discussing many kinds of political issues. I myself am a conservative, but I’m excited to get to hear from the other side about things we may disagree on. I think the atmosphere for conservatives on VCU has gotten better, and it’s only up from here. This platform is going to help a lot, I believe.

As of right now, yes, but that’s not a very enthusiastic yes. I believe that Trump’s loss and the storming of the Capitol by (for lack of a classier term) idiots is helping the Republican Party cleanse itself in a way. It’s waking the party up to the fact that it can’t gatekeep one way of conservatism over others. This kind of “you’re not Republi…Read More

Even though black or African American students make up about a fifth of the VCU community (more than any other racial group, barring whites), I wish there were more of a presence of black students not only in the school, but in my field. I recently graduated with Honors and a biology minor. The Honors College especially needs to increase efforts…Read More

I feel like we also need to push black kids to enter different fields. For years we’ve only told our kids they can be certain things and not others, let’s open it up and allow our kids to be what they want.

And I don’t even mean post-grad ones like the medical field, but also trade school opportunities. Trade school professions pay well, are necessary, and can even pro…Read More

COVID -19 has been a nightmare for my mental health personally. I find the online classes very hard to concentrate in. Furthermore I feel like my college experience has been significantly cut short due to all the restrictions COVID has made. Although it sucks I believe I have grown since COVID started and I’m a different more independent person now

Mental Health needs to be more thoroughly introduced to the African community. They tend to ignore major issues that are happening in the community. I think plenty of African Children have underlying anxiety and other mental health issues that are simply just ignored or told by their parents that this is due to them not being
“close to god”.…Read More - Load More Posts

I don’t identify with a political party because I don’t believe any party genuinely has the people interests first just their own. Specifically with the Republican Party as I feel like they don’t live up to their actual values. For example I don’t believe you can say that you believe in less government and then vote for laws the create voting…Read More
