  • Hey, I’m looking forward to discussing many kinds of political issues. I myself am a conservative, but I’m excited to get to hear from the other side about things we may disagree on. I think the atmosphere for conservatives on VCU has gotten better, and it’s only up from here. This platform is going to help a lot, I believe.

    • I don’t identify with a political party because I don’t believe any party genuinely has the people interests first just their own. Specifically with the Republican Party as I feel like they don’t live up to their actual values. For example I don’t believe you can say that you believe in less government and then vote for laws the create voting…Read More

      • As of right now, yes, but that’s not a very enthusiastic yes. I believe that Trump’s loss and the storming of the Capitol by (for lack of a classier term) idiots is helping the Republican Party cleanse itself in a way. • I believe we’ve become extremely polarized due to the nature of the 2016 election and we both know who’s fault that is no matter what political affiliation you side with and due to that it’s tricked down to everyday people. I also believe it made people more bold and confident in beliefs that would’ve otherwise been closeted. I don’t know your…Read More

      • I definitely agree that 2016 was a huge turning point in the social political climate. I think I would blame most of it on the news stations because they were feeding people information like “trump will never win he has a 1% chance of winning”. I think a lot of democrats thought the election would be a safe easy win for Hillary but instead Tru…Read More

        • As far as my political stance. I’m a Republican, if you want to get specific I’m closer to a libertarian. Very economically conservative, but I believe in rights for all and fair treatment for everyone here in the US.

In 20 years I have no clue what the political climate would be. Something I hope for is for the political climate to be more ope…Read More
