Mental Health needs to be more thoroughly introduced to the African community. They tend to ignore major issues that are happening in the community. I think plenty of African Children have underlying anxiety and other mental health issues that are simply just ignored or told by their parents that this is due to them not being
“close to god”. This can be extremely damaging because it does not always solve the issue and in some cases push the individual away from their parents and their religion. I think this issue is going to become slowly more resolved as the new generation raise their children.
