Meme posted in the group Mental Health in African communities… Let's talk!

Mental health is definitely something that needs to be discussed in African communities and it is even more important now. During this global pandemic a lot of people weren’t able to get the help they needed and even the added stress of the pandemic can make other issues resurface. In order to take care of our mental health we first have to address that it is actually a reality for Africans!

    • This is nothing but facts but the thing is how do we get Africans to take it serious. Especially African parents who instead of seeking assistance from professionals who are actually focused on resolving mental health issues, they seek out pastors or elders of the church to talk to the child, nothing is wrong with it but sometimes the issues can’t be resolved with the assistance of clergymen.
