A time I experienced racism while in college was at an off-campus food spot. My friend and I, both African-American gentlemen, were asked to pay for our meal before we were served it. While at that time, white customers were not forced to do the same, they were given the liberty to pay for their meals after they were finished eating, like how it is at a normal restaurant. My friend and I were racially profiled and deemed as possible thieves and were requested to pay for our meals upfront all due to the color of our skin.
