What’s next for BLM? When is the next major protest going to happen. It is a melancholy how the Democratic Party is a graveyard for political activism and we’ve seen that this past year with the George Floyd protests dying out nearing election time when Biden won the presidency and nothing really changed because majority of people stopped caring once Trump was out of office. The lack of empathy and attention given to this matter is due to the fact that our generation has an average attention span of 8 seconds and we also get bombarded with horrible news articles and stories daily that overtime we learn to accept it as the norm rather than fight for change because it seems hopeless. We must not falter and we must overcome the burdens and hurdles put on us by the people in power who are making the people this way. We need to stand up for what is right and what is needed. Basic human rights are required for every human on this planet regardless of what your race and gender identification you have. This isn’t a movement it’s a necessity.
