For those who went to HBCU’s, what were some aspects of the institution that you really enjoyed? I feel like there are definitely more pro’s than con’s, but I am interested in hearing other opinions.

HBCUs: PRO vs CONs
Public Group
I know that sounds cliché, but it’s the truth. Most HBCUs are relatively small, especially compared to most PWIs, so everyone looks out for each other. There aren’t many excuses you can give for not turning in assignments or studying. Your friends are studying or headed to the library, so you are too. Are you studying for a biology test? Likely, your classmates are as well so there’s sure to be a study group you can join. I made lots of friends simply by the classes I took. We would go to each other’s room or meet somewhere to go over notes, write a paper, study, or simply discuss what we liked/disliked about today’s class.
